Written using the 20-Song Game (wherein one attempts to write 20 songs in one day). On this particular occasion I began the songwriting process with an I Ching reading, looking for a new source of randomized instructions/archetypes. I ended up drawing the “Stagnation” hexagram, and these lyrics almost wrote themselves as a result. Voices and programming at home. The acoustic guitar track was created by sampling every note on my guitar, and then sequencing it with MIDI.
